The Desert Compass is a boutique property in the Land of Enchantment with 6 unique guest suites. It is the perfect place to gather, relax, and celebrate with friends, family, or colleagues. Our property features lush gardens, adobe architecture, a modern desert backdrop, and a blank canvas where you can host your group of friends and family in one place.
Property buyouts of all 6 suites give your group private access to the entire Desert Compass property. Whether you’re gathering together for a family reunion, milestone birthday, bachelorette, or retreat, your entire group can conveniently stay at the property together, while everyone has their own private accommodations.

Property Buyout Details
Total guest limit: 20 guests
Children and Pets: Allowed in the Rattlesnake and Coyote Suites, with prior approval
Check-In: 4pm on 1st day of reservation
Check-Out: 11am on final day of reservation
*Unfortunately we cannot accommodate early check-in or late check-out for property buyouts.

Private Groups
Gathering with your friends, family or colleagues in Albuquerque for a wedding, conference, or other gathering and want a central, private space for everyone to stay together while having their own personal space? The Desert Compass is a cozy and beautiful space to spend time together, while offering fully private spaces to retreat to (each with their own kitchen and bathroom, so no one has to share!).
Special Celebrations
Birthday parties, bridal showers, milestone anniversaries, family reunions, bachelorette parties, or gatherings of friends - whatever the occasion to celebrate, the Desert Compass can host up to 22 guests for an intimate celebration of life’s special occasions. Our lush gardens and classic southwest backdrop make a dreamy setting for your celebration.
Retreats & Workshops
The Desert Compass is unique venue for intimate workshops or retreats of up to 22 people. The lush, shady gardens are the perfect place for group activities, such as games, outdoor yoga, shared meals, and outdoor movie nights. From corporate retreats to wellness workshops, The Desert Compass will provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop and location that your attendees won’t soon forget.
We do not rent any of our spaces hourly or daily. Property Buyouts are available only as overnight reservations.
Location
Located right across from historic Old Town Albuquerque, you will be steps from the best tourist sites, food, shopping, museums, and entertainment.
There are many great restaurants within walking distance to gather for meals, drinks, and entertainment.
Just across the street is the lush Tiguex park and the charming adobe architecture of Old Town Albuquerque. The newly developed Sawmill District is just a few minutes walk - home to a trendy new food court, rooftop bar, and upscale shopping experiences for your guests to explore.
