MOBILE CONCIERGE & MOBILE CHECK-IN
• The Desert Compass is a family-run boutique vacation rental property, and as such we do not have a front desk or staff on the property at all times. Our staff is available to assist our guests remotely via phone or text during daytime business hours, with 24/7 after hours service for emergencies. We want to provide you with an exceptional experience, so please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns before or during your stay!
• Mobile check-in is required for all reservations, which will be sent to confirmed guests via text and email. Detailed self check-in instructions will be provided through our guest Arrival Guide website after mobile check-in has been completed.
• Each suite is a private rental, with additional shared amenities (grounds, hot tub, cowboy pool, etc) for all guests staying at the property.
EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT AND LUGGAGE STORAGE
• Early check-in and late check-out are available for a fee. If you would like to add early check-in or late check-out to your reservation, please add it when making your reservation, or notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate last minute early check-in if it has not previously been scheduled.
• Complimentary luggage self-storage is available on-site by request. Please let us know via text/email at least 24 hours in advance if you require a change in your check in/out time, or require luggage storage.
• If you would like to extend your stay, you may do so by contacting us. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans, which may include relocating you to another suite.
PARKING
Please note that ONE gated, standard sized off-street parking space is available on the property for each suite. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate large uhaul trucks or trailers on-site. If you have multiple vehicles, we may be able to accommodate you based on availability - please contact us. Additional free street parking is typically available in the neighborhood surrounding The Desert Compass.
PROPERTY POLICIES - QUIET HOURS & REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY
• Quiet hours are between 9PM and 9AM. Please be respectful of the neighbors and other guests at the property by keeping music and conversations at a low volume during quiet hours. Any guests unable to follow this rule will be asked to leave and no refunds will be provided.
• Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property without prior approval.
• No events or gatherings may be held at the property without prior express written approval from the Owner. A property buyout of all 6 suites on the property is required for all events or gatherings beyond the maximum guest count of each suite. Events must follow all city and state ordinances and laws, and observe quiet hours. Violation of these provisions shall be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid.
PET POLICY
The Desert Compass welcomes pets in designated pet-friendly Suites (Coyote Suite and Rattlesnake Suite). A nightly pet fee applies, and guests are responsible for keeping their pets supervised at all times.
Any pets found in or about the property in violation of our pet policies will result in removal from the property without a refund, and will incur a fee of $200 per night. Any damages made by pets will be charged to the guest.
Guests with pets agree to honor all pet policies while on the property:
• For the safety of your pet and our other guests, pets must be leashed and supervised at all times while on the property outside of private areas. Pets are never allowed in the pool or hot tub.
• Pet waste must be cleaned up right away and disposed of in the dumpster on the street at the front of the property. A $50 clean-up fee will be charged for pet waste left on the property.
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture. Any damage or excessive noise caused by pets may result in additional fees or removal from the property.
• Guest agrees to be fully responsible and liable for the actions of their pets while at The Desert Compass, and acknowledges that they will be charged for any and all damages caused by pets to furniture, furnishings, or grounds.
• We welcome certified service animals who are trained to perform a specific task. Emotional Support Animals are considered pets and are subject to pet fees and rules. Service animals may not be left unattended in the suites, and are subject to all of the above pet policies.
CHILDREN
• Children under 12 are welcomed to stay in our family friendly suites (Cowgirl, Rattlesnake and Coyote Suites), with the understanding that our spaces are not designed to be specifically “child friendly” (our suites have custom artwork, antique furnishings, plants, and vintage items within reach of small hands), and you may need to keep a close eye on children and move things out of reach during your stay. We ask that you be the judge of whether this is an appropriate space for your individual child to stay, as you'll be responsible for any damages.
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the property. Children under 18 must be supervised at all times while on the property, and while in the pool or hot tub.
SMOKING POLICY
Guests may smoke legal cannabis or tobacco outside at The Desert Compass, however any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a $250 room cleaning fee. Smoking or vaping of any kind (including cannabis) is strictly prohibited indoors at any time. Please be cognizant of other guests when smoking outdoors and respect their space.
HOUSEKEEPING
We do not provide daily cleanings, but additional room refreshes or full cleanings may be scheduled during your stay for a fee.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Any property damages, room damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value. Pre-existing damages or room issues must be reported immediately to avoid responsibility and potential charges.
PAYMENT
Payment in full is due at the time of booking. A credit card on file will be required during online check-in for incidentals or damages during your stay.
GROUP BOOKING POLICY & RECOMMENDATIONS
We welcome your group to stay at The Desert Compass! To ensure the peaceful enjoyment of all of our guests, we ask that you please take note of our group policies:
We encourage groups of 3-4 suites to reserve the Cactus, Luna, Yucca and Cowgirl Suites, as they are all located in one common building. View our property map for more details.
Parties or events hosted at The Desert Compass are strictly prohibited without a full property buyout and written approval. Only registered guests are allowed at the property.
